One of the important factors when buying a stroller  like this is the ease of pushing, storage,  and the ability to lay the child on their back when they are sleeping. Usually stroller will have all of these features, because they are important to most parents. There is nothing more frustrating then having to maneuver around sharp turns in a large stroller. Fortunately, some jogging strollers are made to turn in a manner that makes it easy for the operator.  Unfortunately, those who don’t do the research on the correct type of stroller to buy they may have a difficult time with the maneuverability. If you buy a jogging stroller that has a fixed wheel then turning it will be much harder. There are basically two types of jogging strollers.

• Swivel wheel double jogging stroller
• Fixed wheel double jogging stroller

Swivel strollers are made to move easily around sharp corners ad are made specifically for those who want to shop and move around without limitations. Fixed wheel strollers don’t have the sharp turn capability but they do have the smooth forward operation that joggers require when running.  Jogging strollers can be either double or single and they are big enough to hold extra items. The size of these are big enough for two children and small enough to fold into a trunk.  The design is such where it usually fits just right with very little room to spare.  They can either be put in a trunk or slid into the mini van.

The best double jogging stroller is usually the one that is expensive.  They can range from two hundred dollars to six hundred dollars. Buying one of these can set you back a few but they are well worth it, especially if you are a dedicated jogger.  Many people buy these each month just for the efficiency.  Having two infants and this type of  jog stroller makes it much easier to transport kids. Make a day trip to an amusement park, or a day trip for shopping or just make any stroll that requires a  casual walk. The term jogging stroller in itself really doesn’t give the item a fair definition, because most strollers of this type are usually used by moms who are not joggers but for daily outings with the family.   Some strollers are even equipped with accessories like bug screens and water holders.

Buying a  jogging stroller might take a little time and effort takes a little time to see what you like, whether you can afford a very fancy one with a large price tag or you are looking for a cheap version with a lot less frills.

Even if you are not a marathon runner, jogging strollers are better on the child.  Because of pavement irregularities, the children can really get jolted if you are not watching the cement in front of you. When using the regular type stroller that you find in a store, you will discover that when pushing, that the front wheel will not clear the uneven cracks that develop in the sidewalk causing the child to take a header into the plastic support in front of them.

So, if you are an inexperienced parent that is also an experienced runner you need to take into consideration many factors. If you are a shopper and a jogger you might want to consider a swivel wheel model just because of the maneverability and the capabilities of the stroller when jogging.  If running is very important to you then you might want to consider just a fixed wheel because of the stability.  Jogging comfortably without worrying about the stroller moving erratically may be the better choice. When you are not using it for running, it will be just a slight pick up of the front wheel, and since most strollers are light weight and made of aluminum this is not that hard or most mothers to perform.
